Some of which are: learning to be who she wants to be, learning to find a way to get away from her sister, and seeing that sometimes you just don’t get what you want. As Louis overcomes these hardships, she learns many life lessons. Including, the struggle against the storms that nearly drown their house, the worry about the war, the feeling of jealousy to her twin sister, and her obnoxious, disagreeable grandmother.
